Calista and Nick’s Harbor Lights wedding in Warwick, RI was everything they dreamed of — classic and coastal, elegant and fun, full of love, laughter, and unique touches that made the day completely their own. From the ocean views and golf course setting to the stunning blue and white color palette, every detail reflected what they love most.
They wanted a wedding day that was memorable, entertaining for everyone, and filled with heartfelt meaning — and that’s exactly what it was.
Calista and Nick first met through a mutual friend when Nick was home from college. After their very first date, they hit it off and spent the entire summer together. Years later, their relationship is still built on the simple joys — going out to eat, traveling, hiking, morning coffee, and watching their favorite shows together.
The proposal was just as sweet and personal. On their shared 25th birthday (yes — they were born on the same day! How cute is that?), Nick took Calista to a quiet beach near their home. With no one else around, he told her he had a birthday gift for her… and got down on one knee. Afterwards, they took photos to capture the moment and celebrated at their favorite dinner spot.
Their summer wedding was filled with intentional moments that reflected their story and their families. One of the most touching parts of the ceremony was when they tied three strands together with their pastor — a symbolic act of unity and love.
Some of the beautiful and personal wedding day details included:
A ring bearer pillow passed down from the groom’s parents’ wedding
A stunning memory table and a “Love Stories Before Us” wall where each couple got to take home a photo from their own wedding
Signature drinks, one for the bride and one for the groom
Cigar patio for Nick and his groomsmen
and wedding guests could even visit the golf driving range during cocktail hour. The bride and groom even made sure to take a few celebratory swings too – before the reception!
Their personalities and hobbies were woven throughout the day — from the golf course and ocean backdrop to the soft blue hydrangeas and breezy coastal decor. Their reception tables even featured a beautiful paisley print that brought an extra elegant touch.
After dinner, we snuck away for portraits down by the harbor during golden hour. It was the perfect moment of calm and connection — the light was glowing, the water was peaceful, and the way Calista and Nick looked at each other was pure magic.
They’re truly the sweetest, kindest couple, and capturing these moments felt like spending time with old friends.
One thing that stood out all day long was the strong sense of family. Calista and Nick are both incredibly close with their large families, and the love and joy from everyone was impossible to miss — from the emotional getting-ready moments at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick to the speeches and family portraits throughout the day.
And once the dance floor opened up? It. Was. PACKED. The energy was sky-high all night long, and every guest — from kids to grandparents — was out there celebrating. It was the perfect ending to an unforgettable day.
Calista and Nick found me through a mutual connection — the amazing Liz from Pure Style Photography, who has photographed their family for years. Liz doesn’t shoot weddings herself, so she sent them my way — and I’m so grateful she did!
Calista and Nick had already seen my work from other Harbor Lights weddings and felt we’d be the perfect fit. That trust means everything to me. It was also such a joy to have both Liz and Shannon by my side second shooting this stunning day!
Calista & Nick — thank you for sharing your hearts, your families, and your love story with me. Your wedding was full of laughter, beauty, and so much joy. I’m honored I got to be a part of it and document all the magic. Wishing you a lifetime of morning coffees, beach walks, and dancing together always. 💛
