There’s something undeniably magical about backyard weddings—but Stephanie and David’s day took that magic to a whole new level.

Hosted right on their own property in beautiful Georgetown, MA, this wedding was personal, heartfelt, and downright stunning. From the vibrant floral color palette to the fairy tale-inspired details, every moment felt intentional and full of love. And the best part? They pulled it off despite an unexpected visitor—a mischievous groundhog who decided to throw a wrench in their pre-wedding gardening plans just days before the big day!

But you’d never know it from looking at their wedding. Every corner of the property was picture-perfect. The lush greenery, glowing sunshine (after weeks of rain!), and beautifully curated décor came together to create an unforgettable celebration.

Salem Willows Wedding Beginning

Stephanie and David met over six years ago on what was supposed to be a simple lunch date in Salem, MA—but it turned into an entire day and night of getting to know each other. That spark never faded. Years later, they returned to Salem Willows—one of their favorite date spots—for pre-ceremony portraits. While they had already spent the morning together (no traditional first look here!), it was a relaxed and joyful time to sneak away for portraits before heading back home to say “I do.”

A Laid-Back, No-Wedding-Party Kind of Day

One of the unique things about Stephanie and David’s backyard wedding was their decision to forgo a traditional wedding party. It was just the two of them, their closest family and friends, and a whole lot of love. Without a formal wedding party, the day felt even more personal and centered on their connection.

And let me just say—these two know how to throw a party! From the vibrant pops of pink, orange, red, and white flowers to the incredible tipi trailer bar, every detail felt fun, warm, and inviting—just like the couple themselves.

Favorite Wedding Moments + Amazing Vendor Team

One of my favorite parts of the day? Watching them soak it all in. After the ceremony, they were able to truly be present with their guests and enjoy every little moment. The whole day had a relaxed, joyful energy—and as a photographer, that’s my favorite vibe to capture.

Also, huge shoutout to their amazing planner, Samantha Knight, who helped make the day go so smoothly. With all the moving pieces of an at-home wedding, having a rockstar planner makes all the difference.
