Rustic Elegant Fall Wedding at the Chocksett Inn | Meg & Chris

Meghan and Chris’s wedding day was everything they dreamed of: laid back, joyful, and full of love. Held at the beautiful Chocksett Inn during peak foliage, their day was surrounded by the vibrant colors of a New England autumn—rich maroons, soft pinks, and hints of terracotta in the leaves and details.

A Venue That Felt Like Home

The Chocksett Inn was the perfect choice for them. One of my favorite things about the Chocksett is that they can host everything from your rehearsal dinner to your afterparty. Meghan and Chris both got ready at the inn—so I was able to bounce back and forth with my second photographer to capture both of their getting-ready moments. It’s always a treat when we don’t have to split up—being part of both sides of the morning is such a special way to tell the full story for me.

A Private First Look + Vows

One of the most touching moments of the day was their private first look. They chose to share their vows with one another in a quiet, intimate moment before the ceremony. It was emotional, heartfelt, and allowed them to slow down and soak it all in before the whirlwind of the day began.

They also exchanged wedding gifts—just another sweet layer that made the day feel so personal and unique to them.

Details That Felt Like Them

Meghan wore a stunning lace gown that perfectly captured her relaxed yet elegant style. Their vibe was rustic-elegant with dried florals, and lots of candles—just the autumnal feel they’d envisioned.

The bridesmaids wore a beautiful terracotta (burnt orangey-pink) color that tied in perfectly with the fall backdrop. We even had the wedding party throw leaves into the air around the couple for a fun, festive wedding party photo—it was such a joyful moment to celebrate the couple just after saying “I do!”

They didn’t care about elaborate centerpieces or gourmet dishes—they cared that their guests had a great time. And that they did! The dance floor was packed all night, and the energy in the room was so full of love and fun.

Why This Day Stood Out

Meghan and Chris are two of the kindest, most down-to-earth people. As an Occupational Therapist and Chemical Engineer, they’re both hard-working, thoughtful, and just beautiful people inside and out! They wanted their wedding to feel like them—authentic, heartfelt, and joyful.

It was a true honor to be part of their day, and capturing their love story was something I’ll never forget.
