Meghan and Chris’s engagement session was one of those dreamy New England spring evenings you never want to end. We met at Moore State Park, a gorgeous location bursting with fresh blooms, golden light, and quiet trails that felt like our own little world.
Even though they swore they weren’t “picture people!” They ROCKED their session! These two are a perfect mix of playful and poised. From the moment we started walking through the park, they were smiling, laughing, and totally relaxed. I knew it was going to be an amazing session in the first few minutes!
Meghan and Chris first met at the gym. They both worked out there every morning—early—and were often the only people their age in the room. Chris noticed Meghan first and started casually chatting. For months, Meghan was completely unaware he was interested. Eventually, they had their first real conversation, which quickly turned into a six-hour coffee date.
Chris had even told his family about his “gym crush” before they ever officially met—how cute is that?
They now share a playful life with their two cats: Maui (who Meghan had before they met) and Cleo (the most outgoing, affectionate cat you’ll ever meet—who Chris got to impress Meghan!).
Chris popped the question on their four-year anniversary during a Christmas light show at a winery. Meghan had no idea it was coming! All she had ever wanted for a proposal was to be completely alone—and Chris made sure that happened. After walking around the lights for nearly two hours waiting for the crowds to thin out (and Meghan thinking it was just a short date night!), he found the perfect moment. Under the twinkling lights, in the quiet, he asked her to marry him—and she said yes!
We chose Moore State Park because of its woodsy, natural charm that matched their love for outdoor relaxed weekend plans. They were naturals in front of the camera, despite their initial nerves. Their connection is so genuine—you can feel it in every image.
From twirling under trees to laughing over their inside jokes, the session felt more like a casual springtime stroll with friends than a photoshoot. It was such a joy to capture.
I cannot wait to share the magic from their wedding day at the Chocksett Inn next — wait until you see the fall colors!
