The Cape Club | Katie + Doug

Katie + Doug got married at the gorgeous Christ the King Church in Mashpee, Ma and had a beautiful reception to follow at The Cape Club in Falmouth, MA. Katie and Doug are so perfect together and really bring out the best in one another. Doug’s playfulness and silliness open’s Katie up and he really can sweep her off her feet! (you’ll see!) and Katie being quite down to earth and sweet keeps Doug focused. They truly complement each other perfectly. Katie got her hair and makeup done at Headlines in Falmouth MA and then finished getting ready at her parents home. The couple shared a first look before their ceremony and even though it was a rainy April Saturday we were able to make it outside for a few photos!

I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to come back from maternity leave and start my 2017 season off with! Katie and Doug chose to book me as their wedding photographer even after I told them I wasn’t taking weddings for April at that time because I was trying to get pregnant and could possibly be delivering around the time of their wedding. I didn’t want them to have to worry about who would step in for me as the main photographer if I was 9 months pregnant and unable to photograph. So, when they said they appreciated my honesty and that they still wanted to book me given the circumstance, I humbly accepted! And I am so glad I did. It was a true honor to watch them say “I do” to one another and capture their big day.
