Wedding Day Emergency Kit: Be Prepared for Anything!

As a seasoned wedding photographer with over 250 weddings under my belt, I’ve seen it all. While we all hope for smooth sailing on your big day, it’s wise to prepare for the unexpected! That’s why I recommend every bride and groom have a wedding day emergency kit on hand. Here’s a comprehensive list of everything you might need, based on my experiences!

Must-Have Items:

  • First Aid Kit: Essential for any minor cuts or bruises.
  • Water and Snacks: Keep hydrated and energized throughout the day.
  • Mini Sewing Kit: For wardrobe malfunctions.
  • Mints, Mouthwash, and Dental Care: Stay fresh all day.
  • Hair and Makeup Essentials: Touch-ups are inevitable.
  • Makeup Remover Towelettes: For when the groom gets the bride’s makeup on him.
  • Safety Pins: A quick fix for a broken bustle.
  • Fashion Tape: Keep clothing in place.
  • Tissues: For happy tears.
  • Spot Remover: Accidents happen.
  • Sunblock: Protect your skin during outdoor ceremonies.
  • Bug Spray: For outdoor weddings in bug-prone areas.

  • Q-tips
  • Lint roller
  • Razor
  • Deodorant
  • Lotion
  • Hairbrush
  • Extra Earring Backs (Can be a life saver if you lose one!)
  • Hairspray
  • Small hand mirror
  • Nail file
  • Tampons/pads
  • Static-cling spray or dryer sheets
  • Numbing cream or spray for painful heels
  • Heel covers (for walking on grass)
  • Stick-on hemming tape
  • Eye drops
  • Small Towel (if it’s hot out)
  • Lighter
  • White chalk (Can help with dress stains)
