Fall + Holiday Mini Sessions 2026 | Massachusetts Family Photographer

There’s a shift that happens every September around here. The light softens in the afternoons. Sweaters come back out of the closet. And everyone starts thinking about Christmas card photos and pumpkin patches in the same breath. It’s one of my favorite stretches of the year to be behind the camera.

This year I’ve got three mini session days planned across some of my favorite spots in Central Mass. Each one chosen for that cozy, golden, unmistakably New England feel.

A Session Made for Real Families — Wiggly Ones Included

I get it — the idea of wrangling little kids into “smile at the camera” mode can feel stressful before a session even starts. That’s not how I work. My mini sessions are quick, playful, and built around your family’s actual energy that day, not a rigid list of poses!

I come with games, a few silly tricks up my sleeve (ask my past clients about George, the tiny monkey who lives on my lens), and a lot of patience. And, if a toddler needs a break to run around for a minute, we take it. The best photos usually happen right after anyway.

This Year’s Dates + Locations

Saturday, September 5th — Home Studio Property, Sterling, MA

Rain date: Sunday, September 6th

We’ll use the backyard here at my place in Sterling — woodsy paths, stone walls, wooden fencing, and a field that catches the most beautiful afternoon light. It’s relaxed, a little rustic, and full of good spots for both playful shots and quiet, close ones.

Sunday, October 11th — Shaw Farm, Sutton, MA

Rain date: Monday, October 12th

New to my mini session lineup this year! Shaw Farm has the kind of wide open fields and wildflowers that make fall photos feel effortless, plus a beautiful old barn for anyone wanting something a little more rustic. I have had engagement sessions here but I can’t wait to host minis here for the first time.

This one always books up fast, and this year was no exception — we’re officially sold out! Between the rows of evergreens, the rustic barn, and the red sleigh tucked in the field, it’s become one of my favorite spots for holiday card photos.
