Fruitlands Museum Wedding | Brenna and Doug

Harverd Massachusetts, Heartfelt Wedding

Brenna and Doug’s Fruitlands Museum wedding was not only beautiful but also filled with so many touching moments that left a lasting impression on all who attended.

The couple’s choice of St. Rose of Lima church as their ceremony venue was particularly meaningful, as it was Brenna’s family’s church.

One exciting moment of the day came during the couple’s first dance, when they surprised their guests with a choreographed number with lifts and dips throughout.

But I would have to say the most emotional moment of the day was Brenna’s sister (the MOH) heartfelt tear jerker speech about the bride and all that she has over come in her life and how happy she is that her little sister has found her soul mate! I can for certain tell you there was not a dry eye in the house! I know I was balling!

Rain day wedding at Fruitlands Museum

The wedding was on a rainy spring day but Brenna and Doug didn’t let that stop them from taking outdoor wedding photos showcasing the beautiful backdrop of Fruitlands Museum! We used clear umbrellas to keep the wedding party dry and got some really fun shots!

The wedding party looked stunning, with the bridesmaids wearing long elegant sage green dresses and the groomsmen dressed in sharp grey suits. The pink and lavender flower arrangements, created by In Bloom Designs by Lisa, added a touch of romance to the day.

Brenna and Doug’s big day was a testament to the power of love and the joy that comes from celebrating it with family and friends.

The Couple’s love story

In March of 2018 Brenna and Doug met through Eharmony and when on their first date at Brenna’s favorite restaurant. A little nervous, Doug almost turned around before walking in to the date, but he is very happy he found the courage to go in now!

A few years later Doug took Brenna to Rhode Island for a “spur of the moment” afternoon getaway. It was a cold and windy day and Brenna kept on putting her hands in Doug’s coat pockets to stay warm as she does often on cold days. Which kept Doug on his toes on this particular day! He had to do some creative moves to keep her away from the ring!

After walking along the cliffs on the Cliff Walk, they went down to the Forty Steps to watch the sunset. Doug got down on one knee and proposed, Brenna said yes, with applause from onlookers. Luckily a kind stranger captured the whole thing on camera!
